MANUAL CAM CHAIN TENSIONERS

APE manual cam chain tensioners are designed to replace the automatic and hydraulic tensioners on high performance engines. The automatic adjusters can back out when the throttle is closed suddenly at high rpm. This allows the cams to go momentarely out of time, and can result in bent valves and/or serious engine damage. Hydraulic tensioners have a tendency to put too much tension on the chain guide under high rpm/high oil pressure conditions, resulting in premature wear. Both problems can be eliminated with the installation of the APE manual tensioner.

APE Pro-Series tensioners come with mounting bolts and tensioner gasket.

ADJUSTABLE CAM SPROCKETS

APE manufactures the original "billet" adjustable cam sprockets. Our sprockets are necessary for precise cam timing to achieve maximum performance. 

APE sprockets are fully machined on the latest state of the art computerized equipment to precision tolerances and fully heat treated for extra long wear life. Used by most leading racers who demand top performance along with the safety of not chancing their expensive racing heads to reworked stock sprockets.

CYLINDER HEADS

APE has long been known as a leader in racing powersports cylinder heads. APE cylinder heads have been winning races for decades.

APE is the only race head shop that also manufacturers all of the components used. APE supplies these items to other top cylinder head shops. Our porting is top of the line. Big power boost are not uncommon.

We offer basic Serdi Valve jobs to complete race heads with stainless steel valves and springs and titanium retainers.

APE is a leading supplier of high performance and racing valves for powersports. APE stainless steel valves are precision manufactured from aircraft quality Inconel based stainless steel. This special material offers excellent resistance to heat and distortion. APE stainless steel valves are designed to be used in the most extreme racing applications including the use of exotic fuels, or will give many miles of trouble-free offroad use. They present an outstanding value. In most cases you can upgrade to APE stainless steel valves for less than the cost of replacement stock valves. All stainless steel valves feature hard chrome stems for extra long stem to guide life.

APE valve spring retainers are machined from aircraft quality titanium bar stock in the APE plant on the latest state of the art computerized CNC machinery.CNC machining allows us to offer such advantages as bored taper keeper holes for exact keeper fit. Special gauging fixtures allow dimensions to be held close to provide exact installed heights when assembling the cylinder head.
